I love both albums, but Brain Salad Surgery is one of the best albums of all time. At the time, ELP were constantly experimenting and everything worked. Karn Eval 9 is a conceptual masterpiece, Jerusalem just amazing, Tocatta a futuristic wonder, Still . . You Turn Me On an excellent Greg Lake solo piece and Benny the Bouncer memorably funny. The rejected title track which turned up on an NME acetate and is now to be found on remastered versions is not bad either. BSS is symphonic, but it is also very heavy.

Leftoverture pretty easily for me. I like Brain Salad Surgery too but I like Kansas alot more than ELP in general and Leftoverture has always been a huge favorite.
