This one is close because I only really like 2 songs on Presence but that live album is not Zeppelin at their finest. I always wondered why they didn't release a better one especially after hearing a lot of cool live tracks from how the west was won.

This one is close because I only really like 2 songs on Presence but that live album is not Zeppelin at their finest. I always wondered why they didn't release a better one especially after hearing a lot of cool live tracks from how the west was won.

The band [Page especially] felt that it had to be released along with the film. To him at the time it was just a soundtrack and not a proper live album.

the live album. I've heard numerous bootlegs and other live releases from LZ and they all trump the MSG 1973 show. This concert was recorded at the end of a long, tiresome and drug-filled tour. They should've recorded somewhere around their 5th to maybe their 10 show on the tour when I'm sure they were hittin' their stride but not burnt out yet.
