I love the new album! Black Anima is even better than the previous one: Delirium, which I really like too.
But this new album is not just as heavy as the previous, it's also darker, but with elegance and the despair of the lyrics leads to a cathartic trip with powerful music, vocals and meanings.
It is one of the best things I listened to last year.
The more they get old, and the more they become a daring and better band.

My favourite tracks from the album are Anima Nera, Reckless, Veneficium, Apocalypse, Now or Never, Veneficium (my favourite of them all) and Save Me.

Having missed posting about Comalies XX, which was an amazing redo BTW, it's been almost 4 years since Black Anima.

But now (yesterday), a new track from their next album (2023-2024).

Lacuna Coil - Never Dawn

Nothing experimental, just the pure heavier metal they've been doing for a few albums. Why get off a winner?

I liked that song more than I expected to. Black Anima while it's not a bad album, it just didn't do that much for me.

As for Never Dawn, I have to say that I expected more from their come back.
It's a song that could have been part of Delirium or Black Anima, as a b-side.
I mean it's sufficient, but I don't see an evolution this time, nor a creative leap.
