This shows that Roth is not close minded about other bands and different forms of music. It is all about having a good time for everyone at the show regardless of color. Kudos to him.

Dave is actually bringing back old concerts style like they used to have in Cal. I'm not sure if the rest of the world did these sort of concerts, But during the 70's the big names would all perform together..
Look at California Jam and the previous concerts at the Ontario Motor Speedway which was like Woodstock.
You had Bands Like Tower Of Power.. Emerson Lake and Palmer.. Rubicon.. Santana.. Deep Purple.. Black Sabbath and other big names and types of Funk Soul Rock concerts..
Hell in the late 70's I went to see Boston with Earth Wind And Fire.. Awesome concert.. One of the best I had ever been too..
It's why I have such a wide range of music appreciation..

I have a set of the first Cal Jam... It is such a varied set of artists that you rarely see nowadays. I tell you though, Roth doesn't follow what is now considered conventional thinking as far as opening acts.
