I've been on board with KISS since my early teens, and this is what I know:
Gene may be pompous, arrogant, self-important, egotistic, and all the other trappings that go with the celebrity lifestyle, but I'll hand it to him on 2 points:
1. He recognizes the importance of the military, active & veterans, and what they mean to our country.
2. He absolutely dotes on his kids.
Other than that, he's kind of a tool.
Maybe he should change his makeup to a weasel.

Gene's mom was a Nazi concentration camp survivor...that's why Gene is so pro military.
Who wouldn't be supportive of folks that risk their lives for American policy decisions. Whether they are good or bad decisions is irrelevant to a soldier. He does his job because that is what he is paid to do. Who wouldn't respect that?
