38 years ago this week, my all-time favorite live album was released:

KISS Alive!

Anyone here still have their original wax of this kick-ass release?

I still have the album I bought many, many years ago, but unfortunately the booklet got cutup and taped to my bedroom walls back in my youth. :( Looked cool at the time along with the countless other KISS posters and pictures I had up on the walls, but that collector's piece is long gone now.

What a sweeeeet ad!! Yeah man I still got mine on vinyl!! The remaster CD copy as well as the Alive Box set

I'm really enjoying the new book 'Nothin' to Lose'. I find it wild that when they were rehearsing in the beginning they were covering "Go Now" by the Moody Blues( I can possibly see them playing Story in my Eyes but Go Now???). I've been enjoying going to YouTube & looking up some of the opening acts like the Harlots of 42nd street, Teenage Lust, & the Brats. Not that any of them are any good but for decades I would see gig posters of these acts opening for Kiss & always wondered what they sounded like but there was nothing ever available. Now...thanks to you tube I can hear a song or 2 from them and realize why they didn't last long!

Yeah, you need to get it...there are a lot of rare photos & concert flyers.I love how people just go into detail describing clubs like the Coventry because it kind of puts you in that setting!
I ended up making a playlist on my ipod titled Nothin' to Lose in which I put on the first 3 Kiss albums & Kiss Alive, any other recordings I have by Kiss from '72-'75, all of the bands & songs that influenced them(the Nazz, The Move, Humble Pie, Free, Beatles, Stones, Who,...etc), & any bands that opened for them or headlined over them (Iggy, Brats, Dolls, B.O.C., Rush...etc). I just put this playlist on random & lay back & read the book!
