you know, I was going to buy the live recordings (mp3s) from the show that I saw them at in Sept 2010, but never did pull the trigger. That was a fantastic show that lasted 2 hrs and 20 minutes. I wonder if I can still get those.

I haven't decided if I'm going to see them on this tour or not either. While I would LOVE to, especially with Motley Crue, I also know it'll be a shorter set based on the announcement interviews, both bands doing about 90 minutes. Still, 3 hours of the Crue and KISS would be awesome.

I did go and look at tickets about 10 minutes after they went on sale and the best available was about 35 rows from the stage on the floor. It really really pisses me off how some of these bands (including my favorite KISS) is putting tickets on sale a couple of days or even weeks to members of fan clubs before they go on sale to the public. I just don't think it's fair, especially considering you still end up with your ticket scalpers (ahem, sorry... "brokers") buying up huge quantities of the best tickets during that time frame.

Totally agree, I don't think it's fair either. Although it's really convienent ordering tickets Online it does suck in that once they started that it really opened the door for scalpers(Brokers). Sure there have always been scalpers but nowadays it is horrible. Back in the day it was mostly the true fans of the band that would get up early (or even camp out) to get tickets & if you arrived early enough you could get front row & not have to worry about people from other states or even countries buying tickets. What sucks about the venue Kiss is playing at in my area (Darien, NY (close to Buffalo) is that there is no box office & you can only purchase tickets online with of course a 15 dollar service charge per ticket!!

I see our resident group of KISS fans have weighed in...waiting for Slip to say what he thinks.;)

I am no expert but it seems to me Paul is no different than a host of other lead singers in many old rock bands. Unlike a Tony Bennett who croons and has a laid back vocal style rock and rollers have to "Shout it Out Loud!", and as a result the wear and tear on their vocal chords becomes very noticeable over the years. I think that's why Rod Stewart went soft with his "Great American Songbook" albums, he can't crank it up like he used to either.

Still for Bucky's sake I hope he does make it to the show, he is the kind of fan all artists keep playing for and want to see at their concerts.:grinthumb

That is true with Rockstars aging (I just noticed in Phil Mogg's voice of UFO yesterday while listening to a track from their new album. It was on a AOR Magazine bonus disc. I liked the track & Phil's voice was okay but it's definitely changed despite what some reviewers say in my opinion.)

Yeah, I'm still hoping on making it to the show but I went to see Monty Python's 'Spamalot' Friday night & am still paying for it this morning(& at the theater it played at the seats were nicely cushioned).

LOL! :cheers2

I probably will buy an overpriced T-Shirt (Even though I think my last count was 16 Kiss shirts that I have!) & who knows what else! Although the last time the one T-shirt I wanted was 30 bucks but all they had were mediums. I really liked the design which had the Sonic Boom cover on the front & on the back it had the covers from Destroyer, R & R Over, & Love Gun so I got home & went to their site. I found the shirt & it was on sale for 12.99! (so I did order it!)

Monster was just released last week. Originally it was supposed to be released in April, and this year's tour WOULD have been consider the "Monster Tour", but instead just ended up being "The Tour" with Motley Crue

They aren't starting a new tour in teh middle of an existing tour, 70's Guy was just saying that the current tour isn't in support of Monster. If they do have a MOnster tour, it won't happen until next year.
