NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- KISS, Def Leppard and the Military Warriors Support Foundation presented a Columbia, Tenn. veteran with a mortgage-free home during the bands' concert Wednesday night. When an IED explided under Army Sgt. Kevin Givens, he wasn't sure he'd even survive, let a lone go to another rock concert. But on Wednesday, he did and it was legendary rockers Def Leppard and KISS that made him feel like the star. Between sets, Givens walked onstage to a roaring crowd, where Military Warriors Support Foundation announced Givens and his family would be moving into a home in Columbia mortgage-free. "This is great for Andrew," said David Lieske, national director of business development. "We are so blessed to be able to take part in this." The announcement came after an unforgettable day where Givens got a VIP tour of the arena and got to meet Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen who still drums despite losing his arms in the 80s. "It doesn't matter how big of a struggle that anyone goes through, that peopl can succeed," Givens said. The organization says they've awarded more than 500 homes to veterans across the country. Always nice to see artists using their fame to help out others instead of just absorbing the glory of being famous.Never ceases to be an absolutely class act............
