Weird, I could have SWORE I posted in this thread at some point. (ok, who deleted muh shit!?)
seriously, Kenny Wayne is fantastic. The first time I heard any of his stuff was when the local rock station was playing his debut album, Ledbetter Heights. I was blown away and even MORE so when I found out that he was 17 yrs old when he recorded it.
The first track I ever heard was the song Deja Voodoo (check the official vid below, even though it's really missing probably a good 45-60 seconds off of the intro). Pay attn to the guitar playing, both from the beginning as well as the solo which starts at about the 2:10 mark in the video below. Dude was 17 when he recorded that! Second solo starting around the 3:20 mark.
This kid was just OOOOZING with Stevie Ray Vaughan!
