From Montreal, Quebec, Karcius is an instrumental eclectic mixture of prog, jazz-rock, metal, and folk. Marvelous muscianship, fantastic melodies, and excellent adaptations of genres. I have a hard time to compare them with any other prog. artist. Unique. The band keeps the tradition alive from the prog. movement in Quebec from the '70's led by Harmonium and Maneige.
Sphere(2004) is more heavy and raw from thier next two releases as the band sounds like it wants to go in prog/metal direction. With Kaleidoscope(2006) and Episodes(2008) the band matures, more refined and different styles in more of a dynamic fashion.
