Since the release of the Lennon remasters and in honor of his 70th birthday I thought it would be fitting for Mr. Lennon to have a thread where fans and Beatle fans can celebrate his solo years through videos,photos, stories, memories and anything we all may have that is Lennon related.

The 8th of December isn't the only day that I think about John.
Important people in my life 'pop' into my mind quite often.

There aren't many more important people than John Ono Lennon.
Of the 10 most famous and significant people in history, 4 of them are John, Paul, George and Ringo.

I distinctly remember a day in the 60's when myself and neighbourhood friends played tennis racquets (and anything that resembled a Guitar) to Beatles records. LOVE ME DO, THANK YOU GIRL, PLEASE, PLEASE ME, FROM ME TO YOU...........

42 years ago, I was 19 yrs. old, ****, now I'm 61, how does this happen?
I've already lived 21 more years than John.

It's more than sad and tragic to be murdered by a so called 'fan' that just wanted to be 'famous' for killing you.

People have always asked 'why didn't John have security to protect him?'

i heard some yank called Bill O'reilly say that John lennon (among others ) got so famous he ignored common people ...someone needs to tell that O'Reilly dope he was signing autographs when he was slaughtered by that chapman a-hole

Like millions I remember exactly where and when I heard the news of John's murder....
Marking the date with this, he said some very complimentary things about Cheap Trick( in particular, Rick and Bun.)
