so what did everyone think of the demos and outtakes?
I'm quite tempted to get the Coda reissue even though I downloaded the album a few months ago. I'm especially pleased that they've finally made an official CD release with the excellent Hey Hey What Can I Do on it that's not part of a massive box set. I guess it's a bit different for Coda compared to the other albums since the original record mixed together material from different eras that would never have been included on the same record had it not been for John Bonham's death (is it possible that, say, Poor Tom would have ended up on the deluxe edition of Led Zeppelin III had it not been released on Coda?). Jimmy probably felt he had free rein to include whichever outtakes he wanted on the deluxe edition to a greater extent than on the others.
Funnily enough, out of the nine Led Zeppelin albums I have three of the 2014-15 remasters on CD, three older editions on CD and three digital downloads. I have the reissues of II, III and In The Through The Out Door (which I bought on Friday as the only remaining Zeppelin album I don't own in some format). My Dad already owned IV, and I bought Physical Graffiti and Presence before the remasters came out. I have Led Zeppelin I and Houses of the Holy in digital format only (along with Coda), and have been somewhat tempted to buy at least the former on CD although I don't want to take money out of the budget that could be spent on music I don't currently own in any format.
