In 2012 we´ll get, Thick As A Brick in a new version, remixed by Wilson The Great, but how long can Ian keep on Living in the past ?

:pullhair:We need some NEW Tull material

1999 was a long time ago !!:uh:

Nolo has finally seen the light and joined the Tull brigade.

As far as Ian Anderson doing any new albums...it's possible considering he is still vital and takes his band on tour but I would settle for Wilson remixing the entire Tull back catalog and offering them all in vinyl and Blu-Ray. That would be a fitting legacy to such a great long lived rock band.

^ With a bit of luck I might see them live in Reading in May. Ian Anderson's Jethro Tull (that's how it is credited) will perform the entire Thick As A Brick album. :grinthumb

Now that would be expensive on the credit cards, but worth it :grinthumb

Nolo I hope you do go to the show, I don't think Martin Barre' is playing with Ian for that tour in support of TAAB...but Sir Jeffrey of the esteemed House of Tull will know more than I.

And thanks Sir Jeffrey, nice to see you again too.:hab:

According to the various Tull sites around, Martin Barre will not be playing on the Thick As a Brick tour but will be forming his own band for 2012 playing his own material and some lesser known Ian Anderson compositions.

It's discussed in detail at

They have been together for so long it doesn't seem natural to have a Tull concert without Sir Lancelot on guitar. I don't think they are at odds over anything even though Ian loves to poke fun at Everyone all the time.

Thanks for the info Sir Jeffrey.:D

Man, a Jethro Tull tour without Martin Barre?

but, he's doing a solo tour?...

that doesn't sound good.

Hopefully, it's just a rumor.
