Re: Jethro Tull

Hi fellow tullheads :cheers2

Been a Fan since 1971.

I´m a bit disappointed with the Stand Up 2010 reissue.

I think I´ll hold on to my old Gold Stand Up cd.:grinthumb

Re: Jethro Tull

^^I don't see the need for another Deluxe remaster of Aqualung...:nw:

I have 4 versions already, the first CD, the special edition remaster I bought 5 years ago or so, the MFSL vinyl edition(The best version I've ever heard of this recording) and finally a 200 gram vinyl album released in England a few years ago, with Ian Anderson involved in the remastering process.

Do we really need yet another Aqualung?

Hi KingHeadache welcome. Is it not a 5.1 version of Aqualung that's being released?

If it is a 5.1 release then I would understand them doing another pressing. I love the Rush "Moving Pictures" 5.1 Deluxe edition I bought a couple of months ago.

Re: Jethro Tull

In September, there’s a collector’s edition of the Aqualung album being released by EMI, which I just finished working on in conjunction with Abbey Road studios. An engineer has remixed the album very nicely in 5.1 surround as well as stereo, so the collector’s edition will have the original mixes, the remixes, the 5.1 mixes and about 11 bonus tracks, including some outtakes from the album, which we were able to find amongst the old tapes stored at Abbey Road studios these days.

Will the 5.1 mix be on SACD or Blu-ray?

It’s not on Blu-ray. It will be released as a pack with a CD and DVD.

Straight from the horse's mouth !:grinthumb
