Re: Jethro Tull

I see two versions but no MFSL copy, but it might surface eventually.

I know Magic and I have both posted in your BLOG Jeffrey.:D

Re: Jethro Tull

When LITP was released in 1972 on vinyl, there were at least four, maybe five, different pressings of this album. Each one contained a different track list. Some albums contained 20 tracks, some 22 and some 19. The US and UK releases contained 19.
Oh really? As Arte Johnson would say... v-e-d-d-y in-t-e-d-e-s-ting.

If you know, Fug, would that explain the discrepency on Side 2?

The album lists side 2 as:

Sweet Dream
Singing All Day
Witches Promise
Teacher
Inside
Just Trying To Be

while the label itself on side 2 lists the songs as:

Sweet Dream
Singing All Day
Teacher
Witch's (sic?) Promise
Alive and Well and Living In
Just Trying To Be

And to be honest, it's been so long since I've owned a turntable, I don't recall which is correct.

Also... "For Nursie" (side 4) is listed as "From Nursie" on the S4 label.

Sadly, the cd I bought in the 90's didn't have "Bouree", "Teacher" and "Hymm 43", but did contain "Locomotive Breath". When 80 minute CDR's became available to the public in the early 2000's, I just re-burned the disc including those three omitted songs, and dropped "Locomotive Breath". Now my cd matches the vinyl issue.

But the cd Jeffrey posted looks tempting if for no other reason than better sound quality.

That's Cheatin' Dave...:nw:

But I would do the same thing myself...after all I am sure we have all paid more than once for copies of classic albums.:grinthumb

Re: Jethro Tull

I only cheated because I thought I could get away with it. :spit:

But if the home version of "Recording Studio" weren't available I would have been content with my original cd issue of Living In The Past, as I already have "Bouree", "Teacher" and "Hymm 43" on their own albums. I just did it to be a completist. A cheating completist, perhaps, but a completist nonetheless. :heheh:

I'm with you buddy, I am a completionist as well, Jeffrey has planted the seed now though, I will not rest until I Stumble across an MFSL copy of LITP, no matter what it takes.:D

Re: Jethro Tull

My CD is missing "Bouree" and "Teacher," but it added "Inside," which my LP doesn't contain. And as I said, neither of mine include "Locomotive Breath." And it changed what was labeled "From Later" on the LP to "For Later."

Very weird.
