Jeff Beck. I'm still a big fan. I did see them play on the same tour in 1989. November 25 in Dallas. I didn't actually remember the date but saw it on the web page below. SRV was phenomenal and I wasn't that big of a fan back then. SRV got way bigger after he died like many others.
