I am trying to remember a rock song from the 80s which I am fairly confident was called A Cry in the Night (possibly a Cry in the Dark).
I can remember a 12" single of it with a dark green cover and am fairly confident the band had a 2 word name, maybe starting with an A (like April Wine) but it was NOT Virgin Steele, who i know had a song of that title.
It was a kind of power ballad which started slowly and got to a rousing chorus and am fairly sure they were (or at least the singer was) European. He had a clear twang / accent.
Any ideas please?
