What bands are from where you currently call home? The Carolinas have produced some decent bands in The Marshall Tucker Band and Blues Traveler. I'm sure I can think of more though.

Well Donnie Iris is a Pittsburgh guy. Also The Clarks are from here.

For the "underground" scene, The Primatives are a master folk-rock band that isn't actually from here originally but the bassist is a Pittsburgh native and the band made a big change after deciding to relocate to Pittsburgh.

Oh yeah, Hootie's from Columbia, SC.

All jokes aside, they had the biggest selling album in Atlantic Records history. Amazing when you think a little band called Led Zeppelin was on Atlantic .

(It may be debut album, but still). And no, I'm not a fan. Too many jangley guitars for my ears.

This is a depressing subject. I have rocked my brain and all I can come up with is The Osmonds. Do they count as a group? Or should I go with "The Mormon Tabernacle Choir". I wonder how their rendition of Stairway to Heaven might sound. Maybe they could join with the Utah Symphony and Pink Floyd and do a remake of dark side of the moon. Maybe Jean Simmons could join in although I don't think he would get any notches in his belt with that group, although I am sure he would try.
"It's a beautiful day" was from here though. I guess I will have to go with them. I am just a white bird in a golden cage. There has to be someone else. I will have to look into it.
