I'm not of the mind set that Hip-Hop is better necessarily because it's underground but yeah, some of it is a lot more raw. I love this actor/rapper called Childish Gambino who has the perfect old school mix of witty humorous rhymes and bravado. Some of his rhymes are brilliant and his style and flow with the dramatic backing track makes for an original artist that can keep up with the swagger and cockiness of Kanye, the slow charismatic drawl and fun laid back style of Lil' Wayne and the clever word play of Eminem. Here's my favorite track which is unfortunately not on the album i'm buying tomorrow.

Childish Gambino-Freaks and Geeks
