Hi everyone! My name is Alex (Domino means nothing--it's sort of just been my username for the past few years) and I am 18. I have been incredibly into classic rock for the past 3 or 4 years. Within this span of time people have come to know me as sort of a classic rock guru, since whenever I have an interest in any song or band I immediately feel the need to research until I know everything about it! My interest in music sort of starts in the very early 70's and ends around '85. However there are some bands that I love like CCR that were predominantly late sixties, so I can make some exceptions
I've come a long way in the past couple of years, and I really think I've learned a lot. I love listening to the local classic rock radio stations and recognizing practically every single song that comes on--it's so satisfying! If I don't recognize one and it interests me even a little, I look it up and add it to my massive library!
I've been hovering around these forums for over a year now, as I often use the list of 70's artists to discover new (to me) bands. By no means do I view myself as the end-all expert when it comes to classic rock... that would just be naive and I would definitely be in for a rude awakening
I am aware of how much I know and how much I don't know, and I am incredibly willing to learn more and more! That's why I'm here!
My favorite all time artists are definitely (and not shockingly):
Boston
Supertramp (my avatar
)
ELO
Journey
Eagles
Toto
Foreigner
Rock on guys!
