My first concert - I was 11 or 12 - was Herman's Hermits and The 1910 Fruitgum Company in Davenport, Iowa. I have always loved the Hermits and am not ashamed to buy their cds and lps. A month or so ago I got a Blaze LP - still sealed in shrink wrap - for $4.50!

I saw a Peter Noone-less version of the Hermits in '86 when they opened for The Monkees. I also saw The Grass Roots (great) and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (Gary still had that fantastic voice). BTW, this was Sept. 7th at the Greek, the night Mike joined them on stage for the encore of "Listen To The Band" and "Pleasant Valley Sunday". It was a show I'll never forget.

How was it without Peter?? I mean I would think you would need him there, with all the energy he has....even today!!

My fav HH song is "Just A Little Bit Better".I saw them about 3 years ago in Atlantic City and Peter (Herman) had so much energy it was crazy. I thought they put on a hell of a show. Herman also did a version of the Johnny Cash song "Ring of Fire" and sounded just like him,it was to die for. He also did an impersonation of Mick Jagger and sang a little bit of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" something else. I would def go and see them again. Oh BTW he had a guitarist that had recently toured as part of Alice Cooper's band which gave the show's performance a little harder edge. Check 'em out if you can.

keep those model subway trains running - watch the closing doors :uh:

....in terms of legal rows- they can be compared to Mancunian Eagles...this song caused internal problems with the excellent Derek Leckenby who was the most competent out of all the Hermits..[went to a Q&A with Peter Noone years ago]....don't be fooled by his boyish charm..he was on it!
