Great stuff! In addition to the Lonely Bull and Spanish Flea, I love their covers of 'Walk, Don't Run', and 'Love Potion #9'. They always had such fun-sounding horn arrangements in their songs...their music really takes me back to when I was a kid.

I used to know how to play The Lonely Bull on guitar....its been so long since I played it, I need to relearn it. Hmmm, where did I put that sheet music, darn it?

Rock fans seem to have forgotten just how popular the Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass were as artists in the mid-sixties. Here's a list of the top ten albums for 1966 as compiled by Cashbox:

1 THE SOUND OF MUSIC – Original Soundtrack (RCA Victor)

2 WHIPPED CREAM & OTHER DELIGHTS – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (A&M)

3 GOING PLACES – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (A&M)

4 DR. ZHIVAGO – Original Soundtrack (MGM)

5 SOUTH OF THE BORDER – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (A&M)

6 THE BEST OF HERMAN’S HERMITS (MGM)

7 THE BEST OF THE ANIMALS (MGM)

8 WHAT NOW MY LOVE – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (A&M)

9 LONELY BULL – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (A&M)

10 WHY IS THERE AIR? – Bill Cosby (Warner Bros.)

Five of the top nine positions, including both #2 and #3, were held by the Tijuana Brass! Now that's chart domination!
