It's not that I don't love the band. I just didn't dig those two songs.
I have 450 metal albums on a USB stick in my Beemer, and have had hundreds more classic rock & metal albums over the years.

An album that is 100% bangers is fairly rare in my experience. 2 less than impressive tracks still makes for a damn good album.

Hmm.... I listened to the last two videos....I thought 'Skyfall' was going to be a remake of Adele's song for the Bond film (great song and film btw)....guess I was wrong. :uh:
Neither track did much for me ,but in my defense ,as Magic and others know ,I am not a fan of metal like that to begin with.
I'll stick with Iron Maiden , Dream Theater, Symphony X...melodic prog metal who I can tolerate a bit.

I don't really connect with Sym X, but I'm obviously a huge Iron Maiden/Dream Theater fan.

Helloween is definitely melodic. They're not progressive, but they are all excellent players and have some interesting arrangements.

^I think we had a thread here talking about 'prog metal'....is there just a 'metal' thread ?
Like prog there are too many categories of metal now.
At any rate I dont listen to much metal anymore though I still play Maiden- Seventh Son ..sort of proggy.
I own Rush lps of course and a few by DT....there are others I have listened to that are ok (SymX, Threshold, Fates Warning...) but none of them have really grabbed me.
I have yet to run across any 'metal bands' that connect with me as you said.
