I don't know what he's like as a person, but in relation to Whitesnake and personally to David Coverdale, Robert Plant was simply unbearable in his arrogance and grumbling...

I knew a guy who once told me about 7 or 8 years ago that he saw Robert Plant in a street in Camden Town and for our American cousins Camden Town with its markets is a very 'trendy area' of north London frequented by many young people along with hippes, punks, and left-leaning new age travellers plus its also a 'tourist trap' because nearly every visitor to London visits Camden Town and its markets with usually many thousands of people making the trek to Camden Town and its markets especially at the weekends plus it was also an area associated with the late Amy Winehouse the singer who use to drink in The Hawley Arms one of the many pubs in the area and its also associated with the Roundhose music venue during the 1970s and punk rock and Joe Strummer and the Clash also back in the late 1970s, anyway the guy who told me that he saw Robert Plant told me that Robert was standing alone in the Camden market area and apparently Robert noticed my friend looking at him so Robert looked the other way and walked away anyway it couuld very well be a true story because apparently Robert has (or had?) a old house in one of the quiet residential roads that are located close to Camden Town.

I saw him live once, and he seemed like a genuine person.

Now, they have a blues festival in Mississippi and I heard he attends but he states that he will not take question concerning Led Zeppelin. He will walk out of the room if there is a Led Zeppelin question asked. Again I only heard this story, so not sure how much is true.

I also am curious as to why he doesn't want to talk about Zeppelin.

I saw Plant and Page in Oct 95 in Chicago...decent show (dont recall who played drums and bass)
Saw Plant and Krause in Indy 2022....good show and when he talked to the audience he seemed humble and nice.
Ive not heard any negative things for the most part but everyone has bad days.
Regarding not answering Zep questions at times I understand since he has heard them all and probably gets tired of it especially when on the Plant Krause tours.

Yes , he lived down the street from me. Thats when he lived in South Austin . I used to run into him at Fiesta Mart , they sold a lot of international foods. Each aisle was dedicated to which ever country yada yada . I never really conversed with him , just a hi or hey how ya doin' in passing. Never any of this "can i get a selfie" fanboy shit . He seemed like an ok dude. He also used to hang out at The Continental Club , i ran into him there a few times too. He was hooked up with Patty back then .

I met him at a concert back in the late 80s. We were able to get way backstage & finally to a room where we met him. It was on halloween & we were told to dress up...so I was a pirate & my wife was a mermaid, he must have thought we were pretty funny(turned out hardly anyone was in costume at the concert). He seemed nice enough but we were pretty wasted so I can't say for sure.
