7/10. I prefer it over 'Death Magnetic'. It definitely exceeded my expectations.

6/10. It's good, but nothing totally outstanding to me.

Metallica's peak was its first handful of albums and I really don't listen to them post-And Justice For All, but I'll say that this album exceeded my expectations too.

9. It shits on Death Magnetic for production and better songs. Its become my second favourite Metallica record.
