I haven't heard any of her music, but she has killer taste in guitars!

Yeah, Halestorm has three different EPs that are all covers, each one with 6 songs on them. All very good!

My favorite of all of them is probably their aggressive cover of Judas Priest's oldschool track, Dissident Aggressor:

    Yet another new track:

Not so sold on this track. The lyrics are atrociously bad, especially coming from a 34 year old woman and the music sounds a bit too much like recent tour mates In This Moment.

I did enjoy the other two singles though and still feel excited about the new album.

Picked up the album. I've only listened to it once so far.

First thoughts after one listen... it doesn't grab me in the way that the last album did. There were at least 3 or maybe 4 songs on the previous LP that I listened to and thought "HELL YEAH! This song is AWESOME!" on the very first listen. Other tracks were good or better than good, but 3 or 4 instantly grabbed my attention. I am not hearing one song (so far) that does that to me on this album.

That being said, it's still a very solid album. The sound is good. Some rockin' tracks and some a bit more mellow. Nothing made me want to skip ahead to the next song.

Hopefully I have time tonight to give it another listen from start to finish.

On another note, tickets went on sale last week for their show this winter. Picked up tickets for me and my youngest daughter. We've already got a sober-driver set up so we can throw back a few drinks that night as well. VERY Much looking forward to it.

Oh, also, In This Moment is opening up. Will be the first time I've seen them. :D

@Lynch: Halestorm, In This Moment and New Years Day is a damn good lineup! I wish they'd bring that lineup to Europe!
