I like George Martin's piano work on "Lovely Rita". Paul plays the piano on the song but George plays the piano solo. I also like the piano break on "Something In the Air" by Thunderclap Newman. And about "Ruby Tuesday". According to credits on the "40 Licks" best-of, it's Brian Jones playing the piano on the track, in addition to the recorder.
In My Life by the Beatles contains an excellent piano solo, courtesy of George Martin, that compliments the song in a brilliant manner. It sounds like a harpsicord because it was recorded at half speed then played at double speed. Ahh, those genius recording engineers from days gone by, putting in a days work...
