The reason that everyone is so fucked up / stoned at Dead concerts is because if they were straight and sober, they'd realize how shitty the band really was.

I came to the same conclusion about 20 years ago. Acid must somehow make The Dead's music tolerable. Otherwise their music is just dreadful and not great.


Oh, and another vote for (The) Eagles.
