There's always going to be new and exciting metal songs and CD's coming out that qualify in making lists like these. But in the end as predictable as it may seem, there is ALOT of great tunes compiled in this one. :grinthumb

No it doesn't. That is unless you think Hallowed Be Thy Name, War Pigs, Painkiller, The Trooper, Children Of The Grave, Stargazer, Raining Blood , Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, Electric Eye, Angel Of Death, Hangar 18, Fade To Black, Heaven and Hell, Holy Diver, Beyond The Realms Of Death, Hell Bent For Leather, Run With The Wolf, Detroit Rock City, Devil's Child ect. are all shitty songs.

Then I agree your comment is dead on (IYO). :grinthumb

I don't consider some of the songs you listed metal.
I also think some of the bands they listed are not metal.
Crap list.

Ok, lets make it clear.

Judas Priest - 7 songs
Metallica - 4 songs
Black Sabbath - 6 songs
Iron Maiden - 7 songs

24 songs out of 50 that were included just because some retarded people thought it would be great to mention them just because kids love them. Urgh, please... VH1 made a much better list than that.

I didn't realize that placing some of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden's best songs on a top Metal songs of all time list would be cause for criticism or delegitimize such a list.

In my opinion, the songs by these bands chosen for the list are not predictable.

They're absolutely essential.

Crap list.

Not what I listed...what Gibson listed.

I would like to know what isn't metal IYO...just out of curiosity.

Painkiller is like one of the most amazing "metal" songs ever.

^^I can agree with you Annie, they are top notch metal bands in my library.

I do enjoy Mud's unique opinion though, he can keep this thread hopping for a while all by himself...:heheh:

I have already said I enjoy reading the Metalheads dispute who belongs where and how highly rated they are, but I do think this list is weighted a little too heavily in the old bands favor at the expense of some quality metal bands from the 90's and 2000's.

Should be done by decades, then compare the two lists and see how you think they stand in comparison to each other, just for fun.:grinthumb
