Personally, I'm not a fan of Les Pauls at all. To me, they've always been heavy and clunky. I recognize their place in the anals of rock, but they aren't for me. I'm also not a fan of the look of most Les Pauls but there are a few models that I don't mind quite as much. (the pick guard is the most annoying feature to me because of both the look and that it sticks out away from the body.)

I used to like the SG, I have no idea what an SGJ is, unless that stands for SG Junior? *shrug* I almost bought an Explorer back in about 1987 or so. I haven't played one in years, to my tastes may have changed, but that was the one I liked the most of the 3 main Gibson guitars.

just looking for some opions which you may recommend cause they are all great guitars but cant put my finger on one :/

limit is 900

Here's the thing, if you are trying to look for a specific "sound", the guitar is only part of the equation and to be honest, in this day and age, the lesser quotent. Your amp(s) ability to mimic a classic sound as well as potential pedals or boards will give you far more control over a classic rock sound than just buying a specific guitar.

There are a lot of amps out now that have literally hundreds of pre-mixed sound settings that will allow you to do just about anything with ANY guitar you buy. I'm not sure what you currently have (if anything) for a guitar or other equipment. If you are just starting out, you may want to dial it back a bit before you spend a bunch of money. If you've already been playing for years and want to upgrade, then that's great.

Here's my advice regarding the 4 that you are interested in, are you going for a look, sound or just the feel? I would say that if you haven't played any of the above, hopefully you have the option of a music store or multiple music stores in your area that you can go and try these out.

I haven't used Musicians Friend for many years, but I used to only buy strings and some other stuff from them, never an instrument.
