George Formby

For some reason the song "Why Don't Women Like Me" popped up in my head! But I could only find the original George Formby version from 1932 - still it's a great song. It was redone though - sometime in the 60s I suspect with a wacky sense about it which is also great - but I don't know the artist and cannot seem to find it on the Internet!



I always seem to trip up on the bit where he goes "Now if Women like that like Men Like Those, Why Don't Women Like me!"

George Formby has so much tongue in cheek for a guy who was performing in the 1930s! But his interest style of Folk with Ukulele in hand makes it interesting to listen to!

I just found a show he did in 1960 called The Friday Show- to my understand it was one of the last things he did before passing away!
