Ex-QUEENSRŸCHE Singer Wants His Former Bandmates To Talk To Him 'Face To Face' - Aug. 7, 2012
Former QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate taped a guest appearance on VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" this past weekend for an episode which is expected to premiere on August 25. "That Metal Show" co-host Eddie Trunk says, "We asked Geoff every tough question and he dodged nothing. He was honest in his assesment of what went down from his perspective [between him and his former bandmates]."

Sample quote from Geoff's "That Metal Show" segment: "I'd like to sit in a room with those gentlemen [referring to his former QUEENSRŸCHE bandmates] and have them tell me face to face what the situation is. Explain their actions. I'd like to know and actually understand their point of view. I'd like to see them talk to me face to face rather than through the Internet. Communication is a big part of any relationship, right? If nobody's talking, then nothing's getting settled. My door's open!"

From the videos I saw a couple of weeks back, it looked to me like Tate is the one that was a complete tool and shut that door, not the rest of the band.

*shrug*

Will we ever really know though?

I doubt that any face to face time will be able to fix what splintered Queensryche. It's a nice thought but things got so personal and violent I just think Geoff's time with the band is over.

The Eagles said they would reform when hell froze over and got back together fourteen years later. I don't think Leadon and Meisner were ever comfortable though.

^^You make a good point but that was a long time after the Eagles had their moments, this one the ink is still wet on the legal challenges over using the band's name.

Also I think the Eagles wanted one last big payday before they did get too old, that would come into play when they reformed, you can put up with quite a lot if a six figure paycheque is attached to the scenario.

True. Pink Floyd put their differences behind them at Live8, which was not for personal profit. Roger Waters grinned a bit too much and Rick Wright looked a bit uncomfortable, but at least they played together again before he passed away. We're a long time dead!
