GRINDING STONE has always appeared to be a bit of a rare album to find although I did see a copy of it on cd a few days ago which was the first time for a long time in the HMV store in central London. I did hear it right through once from start to finish about 10-15 years ago and from a vague memory of that listening I have a vague feeling that it came across as a rock album with a 'jazzy feel' to some of the numbers but I could be wrong on that assumption because I only heard it the once.

Another interesting early effort featuring Gary is on the first SKID ROW album from 1970 and the couple of numbers he performs on with THIN LIZZY in 1974.
