wow wee wow wee I`m with these awesome people!
Trower rocked. You wanted to bang your head with his stuff.
Thanks in no small part to James Dewar, my vote for Robin Trower is for his music overall. But while Trower had his moments of brilliance, I think Gary Moore is a technically better (much better, perhaps) guitar player.
Gary Moore was probably more technically gifted, but Trower invoked emotions with his music that, for me, Moore couldn't match.
I met Robin for a quick chat back stage after a gig he played in London back in 1991 and the guy spoke quietly and was very respectful and charming considering I presume he was 'coming down' after he'd just come off stage 10-15 minutes earlier.
Bang it repeatedly against a spliff in my case. And always with the lips
Robin Trower's guitar sound by Procol Harum is awesome.
According to me, Trower's solo career is only good.
Moore's guitar technique is more sophisticated.
I choose Gary Moore.
I wake up to Bridge of Sighs every morning.
