Hell yeah...what's REAL addicting is Kai Hansen's voice to me. I think this last CD shows a his vocals in a real unique light. I like the use of the more lower registers.
That grabbed my attention instantly,,,but after the fourth listen I was really getting into it. I like Kai Hansen, everything he has done from Helloween, to guest spots with Hansi and Tobias and Arjen to his own band is class all the way around.
I'm just real shocked...I thought maybe they didn't get along...I could be wrong but there was some sort of falling out with Hansen as well as Kiske...but time heals they say right?
Wouldn't it be cool to have a one off Helloween original line up reunion...with Kai and Kiske included. But I wouldn't want to see Deris or the other new guys gone for good. Helloween is incredible today as is GR!!
That would be cool, and they tour together a lot, so there are no hard feeling anymore.
The only original member left now from the original line-up of Helloween is Marcus Grosskopf, he used to be the bass player, but switched to lead guitar, he is the leader of the band now.
Actually he still is the bass player...Michael Weikath is still in the band
Along with Deris their two new members have been Sascha Gerstner (lead guitar) and Daniel Löble (drums) since Keeper Of The Seven Keys: The Legacy disc to the present day.
Yes they do tour together quite a bit now that you mention it. I remember seeing the youtube vid for both bands on stage doing I Want Out
I was trying to think of Weikath,,,but I was positive Grosskopf played guitar now...oh well so many bands if I'm not looking at the CD in my hand then these things happen.
They have toured three times in South America that I know of together, it amazes me how popular hard rock/metal bands are down there. Three years ago Helloween and Gamma Ray played Vancouver then the west coast of the States.
