Sure, Martin from CRF2...why do you ask

Okay, just checking. After the comments about Nirvana, I was thinking maybe you didn't realize who I was. NDF and I have plenty of war stories about that band...and U2...and the '80s!

I pity the fool who criticizes Devo or Elvis Costello. They'll see Martin charging out of the bullpen like John Rocker.

Yeah, we all (Nirvana lovers) have our war stories. We gotta stick together man

Anyway, welcome to the boards my friend- just me and I'm on your side

It is great to discuss politics, but I tell ya I have been a little burnt out on serious issues nowadays. But having the option is a vast improvement over not.

Indeed!

Not everything has to be a political debate, but it sure as shit sucks to be squashed as soon as something a little controversial comes up. Forums are meant to be a venue to exchange ideas, not stifle them.

Glad to see lots of "new" people coming in.

It is nice, and I kind of like the 'lean' feel to this place. People are actually having a discussion about music here, and not in a 'top 10 fav songs' sort of way. You get too much of that stuff it starts to clog the arteries.

Needless to say, I hope it stays lean and mean even if we get a few more members that come along in the future.

I'm not sure I'd want it to get mean around here, but lean is definitely good.

Agreed. Nothing like a gag order to make you want to express yourself. And nothing like freedom of speech to make you feel comfortable NOT talking about "serious issues."
