It depends on how much money you have and how much you like Foreigner...or how much your girlfriend likes Foreigner!
Alice charges $600 for VIP seats which besides a ticket in the first few rows includes an autographed copy of a setlist and a picture with Alice.

I agree with you Connie ( especially since its not even close to the original line up) but then there is no accounting for taste and plenty of people without it who will pay the money.
And I feel the same way about any band or atrtist doing similar things and that includes Mr Vincent Furnier.

I totally believe in free enterprise capitalism! If it's bullshit, people won't buy it and I believe people will determine fair market price. This thing with Foreigner seems like bullshit to me.
I was told many years ago that an arena that sells out quickly was not priced properly. More money can be made from an arena that is 90% full with high ticket prices than a sold out area with user friendly prices. Business is business.
Trust me, I don't like high prices! I'll be attending 18 concerts this year and only one will be the VIP format. It's my choice. I'll skip Foreigner!

You've said that you don't go to shows and that's fine, that's a choice. I do want to ask you what is the alternative to 'fair market price' because I'm always looking for ways to save money. I'll admit that I shy away from high dollar concerts with or without a VIP ticket. The last big arena show I saw was The Offspring and Jimmy Eat World and part of the reason was because it was a first concert for two of my grandsons. None of the 20 concerts I'll see in 2026 are in a venue that holds more than 2500 people and I'm OK with that. I especially love the small general admission clubs with no seating. I've been against the stage for three out of the last four shows I've seen. It's a VIP experience and you only have to pay by arriving early and standing on a sidewalk with like minded people. Rock on!

I read the article, you get a lot of merch and experiences. So you are getting something out of it, however no original members in current line up. That's a problem for me. But hey if it's your thing go for it.

There are more and more bands out there with no original members and it's generally a problem for me as well. However...I did just buy tix for The Grass Roots with no original members but former leader Rob Grill picked the current musicians and gave his blessing before he died. I honestly don't care who the people are in The Grass Roots as long as they sound good. It's a weekend date night and I just want to hear the songs I heard on my parents kitchen radio as a kid. There were no original members when I went to see April Wine and Molly Hatchet last year but that's misleading. Both bands had longtime members that were with the bands during their original runs of popularity.
On the flipside, I also just bought tix for Vanilla Fudge and they have 3/4 original members, I can't wait to hear that Hammond live! It'll be groovy man and I'm considering wearing the tie dye shirt I bought for Halloween several years ago. I don't get many opportunities to wear tie dye.
