Billy Joel is having an impossible time selling his beautiful Hampton's home. The Piano Man just reduced the price on it from $23.5 million to a mere $22.9 million.

This isn't the first time Joel's Sagaponack house has been on the market. In 2009, the price was cut from $22.9 million to $16.75 million before it was re-listed. The home re-surfaced again last November. (Evidently, he had 2nd thoughts about reducing the price to $16.75 million.)

The house includes a beachfront view, piano room, and a separate studio situated in the fifth most expensive zip code in the country.

Whitney Houston's mansion didn't sell for ages either, it was on the market forever with no buyer.

When you custom build a house it is going to appeal to a very small number of people, most of whom have more money than brains.

I'd rather have an Airstream Trailer and a nice 4x4.:D

Cher had an awesome mansion. Eccentric tastes. I think Beyonce bought it for a cool 45 mil.

^^Coolest house I've seen is a circular design, one in Australia and one in San Diego, both rotate on a 'turntable' style motorized foundation so they can follow the sun if they want, and they weren't really expensive either.

I saw a floating 3 story house complete with yard, trees, etc. on Lake of the Ozarks. I will have to see if I can find the picture I took of it and a couple other lake mansions.

I grew up on Long Island and Billy Joel use to have a house there (not sure if he still owns the one I'm thinking of or not) and as kids, we would drive by that house constantly in hopes of seeing him outside. Never did but it never stopped us either! He just sold a house here in Miami a few months ago and as a real estate paralegal, I got to work on the closing. We represented the buyer. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet Billy Joel but I did get his signature on lots of legal documents though! LOL! :grinthumb
