Re: Fleetwood Mac

I remember reading an article about them in Rolling Stone back in 1975 or so, and they mentioned their fans' general confusion over the changing lineup of the band and the different direction their music was taking. They talked about one concert in particular where a fan at the edge of the stage was so upset at seeing "strangers" come on stage that he yelled at them, "who the hell are you?!" One of the band members (I don't recall which one) reportedly yelled back at him, "we're Fleetwood mac - who the hell are you?"

Re: Fleetwood Mac

Jeremy Spencer does one of the best covers of "Preachin`" I have ever heard on the "Live At The BBC" recordings.

I'm going to go down to my favourite record shop and pick that one up tonight - or at least order it.

Re: Fleetwood Mac

That live at the BBC is fantastic, I purchased this at the time and it has some great tracks on it, BBC sessions seem to be a lot better than live concert albums sometimes IMO.

Here is another track from it.....

Re: Fleetwood Mac

Scans of the first four Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac UK singles on the Blue Horizon label from my collection.

They were a great band to see live, especially when they played the small blues clubs dotted around the UK. Imo Peter Green is one of the finest guitarists the British Isles has ever produced.
