I know some people would say that Metallica was an 80's band, but you know... that's like saying the Stones were a 60's band or a 70's band, but not both. Metallica was indeed both a 80's and a 90's band. And even though their format evolved in the 90's, I still liked the vast majority of what they did.

That's what I thought, but there are many examples that blur which decade they belong in,,,as a fail safe I will usually go with the year they started, then the most successful part of their career next.

    The 90s were alright :)
Radiohead, Muse, RHCP, Foo Fighters, Jamiroquai, The Dandy Warhols, Counting crows, .. I all dig them. :grinthumb

The 90s were also a good time for the Belgian rock scene with dEUS and Evil Superstars :

Man, I forgot all Jamiroquai. Jay Kay's birthday is a day before mine so I used to think he was so cool for that, lol.

Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Tool and Pearl Jam are ultimate favourites of mine. I can also listen to other stuff. I'd also like to say White Stripes, but I'd call them more of a 00 act.
