Probably one of the most extreme shifts from loud to soft IMO. You go from Banned in DC which is hardcore punk to I Luv I Jah which is reggae.

I like your choices, but for metallica's soft song, I would probably choose Nothing Else Matters or Mama Said over The Unforgiven, as it gets somewhat loud late in.

Yea that is true, but it is not as loud as they are when they are playing full on thrash or as loud as their other songs on the black album. It does get loud a bit into it, but for the most part it has a bit more acoustic to it. Also I do think compared to most of their thrash songs it is a soft song (not quite, but soft), but the other songs you named are great ones as well.
