Just one more thing that you have the option to listen to or not dude.
She signed this kid who I think is awesome for his age. This is a Lady Gaga cover he did and he may not be roooooccccccckkkkkk but to deny he's talented and doesn't deserve to be on a label is doing nothing more than stating a bias. I mean I doubt I'd buy the kids c.d. but it's a good pickup by Ellen and a well deserved boost for the kid:

I just discovered that particular sitcom of hers on cable. Very funny show, indeed. Not only because it is written by Jerry Seinfeld's funny ex-gf Carol Leifer, but also because the rest of the cast is pretty funny, too (Martin Mull, Cloris Leachman, Emily Rutherfurd who's now on Elaine Benes' new sitcom and funnyman Jim Gaffigan). Tomorrow's episode is "Cathy's Taffy".
I didn't care for her 90's sitcom all that much, but she was funny in her small role in the 80's sitcom "Open House" if you remember that one (which I believe was the remnants of the short-lived 80's sitcom "Duet" starring Mary Page Keller and Matthew Laurance).

I'm thinking it's just a business venture. Ellen's pretty much the white Oprah right now. I was never her biggest fan but I believe she's a real music fan who realizes that she can help artist get signed with her success. I'm sure her label will be run by people who are more knowledgeable in music than her. She just has the pocketbook to fund it and the status to promote the artist!
