Dispatch is an indie band from Vermont. They are made up of three multi instrumentalists who take turns playing guitar, bass, percussion, harmonica and vocals. Thier sound is impossible to categorize because it changes throughout most of their songs. they are a mixture of reggae/ska/folk/rock/flamenco/funk. They were a band from 1996-2004. Although. they have had three reunion concerts. In 2004 they scheduled a farewell concert to their fans. It was a free show and titled "The Last Dispatch." The estimated tunrout was 10,000-30,000 people. the audience was estimated at 110,000 people. Fans came from all over including Italy, South Africa, Italy, Mexico, and Australlia. Dispatch embodies the true meaning of indie music. They constantly experimented and gained much fanfare without the assistance of raido play.
