Thank you so much for all your great feedback! I really, really appreciate it!
If I’ve encouraged some of you especially you guys in the UK (you don’t know how lucky you are that you can see DH every year or every other year!!! I had to put what is unfortunately most likely a lifetime of DH gigs for me in the space of less than a week) to go out and see a DH gig, then I am very, very happy! The current lineup is such an AWESOME live band!!!
Slip’n, Alpine Valley in East Troy is supposed to be another great Wisconsin music venue. Haven’t ever been there myself but I’ve heard a lot about it over the years since it opened in ’77. However I am still broken-hearted that Stevie Ray Vaughan died there.
Lou, you mean there isn’t already a dedicated Diamond Head thread on this board???!!! Go for it! Please! Maybe you can start the classic DH thread and I can do the present day DH thread. I mean, it’s all DH and it’s all good but there’s the history and the current band that’s a going concern, you know what I’m saying?
Lou - IMO the band plays great and give it their all and more in any situation but yes, I’ve noticed at the huge gigs they perform even better! I just saw a video of most of their rendition of Am I Evil? at Sonisphere ... O ... M ... G ... !!!!!!
Yes Sox, I’ve noticed not only with my own experience but reading about other shows that especially at the smaller gigs the DH guys seem very accessible and enjoy talking with the people who come out to see them. ... and I think you’re right about a lot of the NWOBHM guys being very nice and friendly. Of course meeting the band is simply icing on the cake. I am so darn happy that I actually got to seem them play!!!
