My definition of early is from 1970-1980.....even though Ozzy was not lead singer on this album,and there were other member changes, i still consider it one of their best

Deep Purple and Black Sabbath represent real heavy rock, from a time when rock meant something!

I like both bands,but mostly Deep Purple.
Their songs were more relaxing and nice than Black Sabbath's.
But I like many Black Sabbath songs too,such as Paranoid,Crazy Train,N.I.B,Fairies Wear Boots..
