Never thought of them as prog but I do see your point about odd time signatures (Rapunzel is a great example), the complex chords and the lyrical subject matter, BC.
I have just about every album. Crowded Streets, Under The Table and Crash are my most favourite albums. I even got my nephew hooked to their music when he was about five.
