To be honest I have heard the Van Halen version a couple of times but I can't really remember it wasn't it on the Diver Down album?.

What the hell was Eddie & co doing covering Dancing In The Street for anyway plus it's a soul/dance song, maybe 'Diamond' Dave wanted to do it?. That Diver Down record was mediocre anyway with to many covers on it. I think I have seen the Jagger/Bowie video of those two 'clowns' performing Dancing In The Street and they both appear to 'ham it up' quite a bit although I suppose it's ok if you like that sort of thing.

Jagger/Bowie
