I never heard Manson's version! I always liked Alabama Song & it has always been my
2nd favorite Doors tune(My favorite is "Soft Parade")

As you probably guessed...I'm a NY Dolls & spin offs freak so here is David Johansen's version of Alabama Song to go along w/the rest:

I always thought that "This Magic Moment" was a Jay & the American's original .. I recently found out that it was a cover of The Drifters.

I really like The Troggs song "Wild Thing" (1966) and did find out until recently that it was a cover of song originally recorded by a group called Wild Ones (1965)
