I never heard Manson's version! I always liked Alabama Song & it has always been my
2nd favorite Doors tune(My favorite is "Soft Parade")

Definitely agree CCR all the way(I do like the others but CCR's is just so cool).

I also love CCR's cover of Dale Hawkins Suzy Q

I love both versions .. It depends upon what day it is as to which I like more.

I always thought that "This Magic Moment" was a Jay & the American's original .. I recently found out that it was a cover of The Drifters.

I really like The Troggs song "Wild Thing" (1966) and did find out until recently that it was a cover of song originally recorded by a group called Wild Ones (1965)

The original "Tainted Love" was by Gloria Jones recorded in 1964,
