Yep!..The Verve version has it's place..but Bill's homemade black bass does it for me...and the talents of David Whitfield.

Tori Amos -- "Angie"


While the better vocalist on their respective versions may be debatable, instrumentally I think Tori's piano work, though different to be sure, is every bit as good as Nicky Hopkins piano and the subtlties of Mick Taylor's acoustic guitar both are on The Stones' version.

Tis' indeed a nice version Dave. Aslan, a Dublin band cover Angie- but not as good.
Do recall Cornflake Girl by Tori.. a good few years ago.
"Cornflake Girl" is a great song of hers! And yet another good one, imo, from that album is "God". Both from 1994. It's hard to believe that album came out 25 years ago. Damn!
