Phil Dirt and the Dozers are a cover band from Columbus, Ohio. They play mostly vintage rock from the 50's to the 70's. Their motto is "Rock 'N R'oldies" which I think is a pretty clever marketing slogan. They travel all over, and usually have a sell-out crowd.
Their sets include covers of the Righteous Brothers, Four Seasons, Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Jan and Dean, Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, and The Eagles, just to name a few. They have a very tight vocal harmony and thier music covers are top notch.
I saw them at a local night club, but they do book private parties (if you can afford them). This group of men really put on an awesome show. They have recorded 6 CD's, and 1 Live CD "Live at the Murphy", and have a new Live CD " Live From Sun Studio" coming out this summer.
